Website Help www.offtheleashpromotions.co.uk

Off The Leash Promotions have tried to make this website as easy to use and as user-friendly possible. Due to the ever increasing amount of operating systems, web browsers and 3rd party software installed on people's computers these days it is difficult to make a website that will work for everybody, first time. If you have experienced any difficulty viewing any images, videos, or streaming music, please continue to read this page.

Problems Viewing Images

Our images are hosted on a 3rd party server using Photo Bucket www.photobucket.com
Images are displayed as either JPEG or GIF image formats, which should be suitable for all web browsers.
As the internet is not perfect, sometimes problems can occur either with your web browser or on the server side that stops an image from loading correctly and causes an empty box to appear where an image should be. If this is happening to you please try refreshing the page or by pressing F5 on the page to invoke a refresh.

If you are receiving images like this then we have exceeded the amount of site bandwidth we can use for image hosting this month. If this happens then please contact us at info@offtheleashpromotions.co.uk

Problems Streaming Music or Viewing Dynamic Content

Our website uses standard HTML and JavaScript Technology to deliver the dynamic content to your web browser.
We have tried to make it as compatible as possible for everyone and have tested the site using Internet Explorer IE 5, 6 & 7, AOL Browser and Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and 2.0. We have found the website will run correctly using a standard configuration of any of these browsers as long as you have a standard Java compiler on your computer (Don't worry, unless you have deleted/disabled it, you should have!) If you require a Java upgrade please visit www.java.com for the latest version.

Surfers using Internet Explorer 6 & 7 may find they receive the following notice when first entering the website or when viewing a DJ Profile Page:

This is because we use a countdown on the main page counting down the days & hours until the next event we are hosting uses JavaScript to display the countdown. The same thing happens on the DJ Profile page to enable you to listen to one of our DJ's mixes.

Clicking on this bar will produce the following menu:

Clicking on the allow blocked content will bring a further dialog box:

Clicking on Yes will refresh the page and allow the script to run.

If you have managed all this so far but still can't listen to music then you may be experiencing the following message:

This is because Internet Explorer has found more JavaScript and is warning you again. Following the same procedure as above will solve this for you and will allow you to listen as much as you like.

If you think these "security warnings" are annoying, then imagine how annoying they are for us trying to test the software for compatibility. If you find all these false security warnings are all a bit too much to handle then we suggest moving away from Internet Explorer and using a better web browser like Firefox, which can be downloaded from:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

We personally think that Firefox is really the web browser of choice and will run nearly every website perfectly without user intervention and has been proven to be more secure than Internet Explorer.
